In the future, we might buy, sell, exchange, assign, or trade business assets, which may include this information. Also, in the event that Company is, or substantially all of its assets are acquired, customer information may be one of the transferred assets. We may also release personally identifiable information when we believe that the release of such information is required by law or is necessary to protect the rights, property, or safety of Company, or others.

This can occur when the employer requests a quotation for health insurance coverage. In order to obtain a quotation from Company, the broker will obtain information regarding the employer’s business and employees. This information is provided to us in order to obtain a quote. We may also receive the aforementioned information regarding employers and employees when a broker uses our online account management functionality. This personal information is collected and stored in a manner appropriate to the nature of the data, and may be passed on to our affiliates. Once our affiliates, receive this information, that data also becomes the property of each respective affiliate. Any request to opt out of future communications from such affiliates must be made directly to each such party.

Transmission of Information & Security

Even though we endeavor to ensure that all available procedural safeguards are integrated into our website and we adhere to the generally accepted standards of security for the purpose of protecting information provided by visitors to this website, transmission of information through our website has the potential of being unstable, unreliable and insecure. Company makes every effort to ensure the secure collection and transmission of sensitive user information using industry-accepted data collection and encryption methodologies such as TLS (Transport Layer Security), SSL (Secure Socket Layer) and PGP (Pretty Good Privacy); however, there is a risk that such information may be illegally intercepted. Our employees are required to use password-protected screen-savers and must re-enter their password to re-gain access to your information when they return after leaving their desks. You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your username and password and are responsible for all uses of them, regardless of whether the uses were authorized by you. Company  prohibits the transfer or sharing of usernames and passwords. You agree to immediately notify Company  of any unauthorized use of your username or password or any other breach of security or privacy.

Children’s Online Privacy Protection

This website is not designed for or intentionally targeted at children 13 years of age or younger. The Company  websites comply with the Children’s Online Privacy Protection Act of 1998 (COPPA). COPPA and its accompanying FTC regulation protect the privacy of children using the Internet. Company  does not knowingly collect or solicit personally identifiable information from children under 13. The Company  websites are not intended to solicit information of any kind from children under 13, and is designed to block our knowing acceptance of any such information unless such information is provided by or with the consent of the child’s parents or guardians. Your California Privacy Rights (California Residents)

California Civil Code Section 1798.83 permits our users who are California residents to request certain information regarding our disclosure of personal information to third parties for their direct marketing purposes. Users may request this information by contacting the Company by email at info@evcoinsurance.com. We currently do not share any personal information with third parties for their own direct marketing purposes.

California Consumer Privacy Act of 2018 

You have the legal right to request the personal information that the Company maintains about you, broken down by category, and an explanation of the purpose of maintaining that personal information.  You may request that personal information from the Company up to two times during any 12-month period by contacting the Company at (925) 395-4566 or by email at info@evcoinsurance.com.  Upon receipt of a verified request for personal information, the Company will provide you with the personal information that it maintains on an individual and the purpose for maintaining that personal information. This information will be provided free of charge.  Further, you have the right to request the deletion of any personal information you would like deleted. 

You are afforded the right to opt-out of the sale of your personal information.  Upon receipt of an opt-out request, the Company will document your opt-out request and will refrain from any future sale of your personal information.  The Company will not discriminate against you in any way for requesting information or for opting-out of the sale of your personal information.  

California Business and Professions Code Section 22575

Currently, we do not track your behavior on our websites. However, in the future, we may track your behavior, in which case our websites will not honor “do not track” browser settings. Third parties such as advertising networks may collect information from your use of our websites. We will modify this privacy policy upon implementing a tracking process.

Aggregated Quoting Data

The Company may share information with authorized partners regarding “Aggregated Quoting Activity” that takes place on our websites (defined as all quoting activity including any information relating thereto except for group level data).

Broker Broadcast Newsletters & Promotional Emails

From time-to-time, we may offer free e-newsletters and occasionally send out promotional e-mails as a service to our visitors. We send e-mails only if the user has opted to receive communications from Company through its websites or its affiliates.
